Our firm provided expert MEP engineering services for the City of Hope Seacliff facility in Huntington Beach, California – a premier OSHPD-3 outpatient medical oncology center delivering compassionate, cutting-edge cancer care to Orange County’s coastal communities.

This design-build project, executed in partnership with a general contractor, encompassed approximately 16,000 square feet on the third floor of a three-story building. The scope included a fully compliant USP 797/800 compounding pharmacy for safe sterile and hazardous drug preparation, alongside a modern infusion therapy clinic featuring 20 infusion bays designed for patient comfort and clinical efficiency.

We collaborated closely with the general contractor, architect, structural engineer, and commissioning agent to deliver integrated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems that met rigorous healthcare regulatory standards while addressing significant site challenges. These included resolving low domestic cold-water pressure through the installation of an inline booster pump and navigating congested roof conditions with tight space constraints to accommodate essential rooftop equipment without compromising performance or aesthetics.

Our precise engineering ensured reliable environmental controls, robust utility infrastructure, and seamless system integration, minimizing operational disruptions in this high-acuity environment and supporting City of Hope’s mission to provide world-class oncology services closer to home. This project highlights our proven capability in delivering complex, code-compliant MEP solutions for advanced healthcare facilities, where technical innovation and meticulous coordination directly enhance patient safety, staff efficiency, and therapeutic outcomes.
