Goss provided MEP engineering services for the Southern California Orthopedic Institute Westlake Village Orthopedics and Physical Therapy tenant improvement project, a state-of-the-art facility enhancing advanced orthopedic and imaging care in Westlake Village, California.
This design-build collaboration with out general contractor partner involved a seamless integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across two key areas. On the third floor, we executed a 24,600 square-foot, B-occupancy tenant improvement for radiology and clinical spaces, leveraging the existing base building VAV system while providing specialized supplemental HVAC equipment to meet the precise cooling and environmental demands of high-performance X-ray machines.
Complementing this, we designed a new 4,700-square-foot suite for a dedicated MRI imaging machine on the first floor which included a fully independent split-system HVAC unit tailored to maintain strict temperature, humidity, and air quality controls essential for MRI equipment reliability and patient safety.
Through close coordination with the architect and project team, we ensured all systems complied with stringent healthcare standards, minimized disruptions in an operational medical environment, and supported the client’s commitment to delivering cutting-edge diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities. This project exemplifies our expertise in complex medical facility upgrades, where precision engineering directly contributes to improved patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
